Social Media Marketing: Monday Topic Mention
Understand what is social media marketing & its benefits
This afternoon my post will be a short announcement for Thursday's upcoming blog post based around Social Media Marketing!
What Social Media Is
To begin, if any of y'all have yet to be involved with the hype, social media basically involves multiple web platforms centered upon socializing with others.
Social Media has been around for quite some time since the development of the internet. Technically, the ability to email others is considered a form of social media. For example, if any of y'all have heard of Myspace, you already have an idea about what a social media website entails. Many of you may have your own social media accounts or know of others who do. These can include sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WordPress, and Reddit. However, on Thursday I am going to be discussing the use of specific, currently favored websites and applications.
How Business Operation Is Involved
The underlining theme to this topic is the "social" aspect. The ability to search profiles of individuals or groups has become accessible to businesses as well. All sorts of establishments have created their own profile to network with potential and present clients. These businesses vary in the service industries of food, clothing, jewelry, and even media.
Media is an influential form of communicating, especially as technological advances continue. Photography, music, and videos can all be incorporated with sharing information about your business.
Who Cares
People who have a smartphone, computer, laptop, or tablet consistently presume to find others involved. Anyone who has ever gone to a search engine to review somewhere to eat, somewhere to stay, somewhere to shop, and so forth, also expects other people to have left their input or opinion. If there happens to be a profile or a site where real people are not providing commentary necessary to assess, there is going to be a disappointment for the searcher and business owner.
We all want to know details before we make a decision to purchase a product or service. More than likely, we end up on some Facebook, Yelp, or blog page giving a personal testimony by multiple individuals to determine commitment to buy or pass. Everyone cares about what everyone else has to say even if they want to go against the popular viewpoint. Who cares? EVERYONE!
Social Media resources make it easier for you to reach out to everyone you possibly can. There are methods of how to conduct your social media activity to boost the benefits of your business. Those will be discussed on Thursday as well. I hope this introduction peaked the interest of you lovely readers and you will read my more in-depth post in a few days. Have a wonderful day & Thank you for reading!
